Mind-blowing sound and video for nightclubs, restaurants and bars. And now yachts!

The mission of SeaTech is bring better quality audio visual, IT and security systems into private boating and yachting market.  SeaTech will bring a level of service and support unknown to this market, drawing from twenty years of experience in the commercial AV/IT sectors.

Most high-end privately-owned yachts draw technology from the residential audio visual and security world.  Although the technology can be aesthetically pleasing, it can prove to be unreliable, lacking in cohesiveness, unintuitive and without support.  SeaTech is has set out to bring the latest commercial technology to the private marine world, working with clients from the design stage, through procurement and installation, and following through with service and support for the life of the system.

Design Stage.
Many shipbuilders do not have the background to design and provide specialty system for audio, video, control, network, and security. They rely on outside sources to specify and provide these systems. Unfortunately, the providers they look to do not necessarily have the skill sets and technology to integrate proposed systems with the platforms the builders are using, such AutoCAD, Revit, BIM Modeling and other design and construction platforms.

SeaTech has professional designers on staff that work with the builder in the design phase and help to model and integrate AVIT equipment seamlessly creating an aesthetically pleasing and functional finished product. Our engineers will work directly with the builders design teams to make sure all wiring, cutting, electrical specifications, and other needs are met before the construction of the interior begins.

Equipment Procurement and Specifications.
SeaTech understands the reliability of equipment on a yacht is more critical than any land-based structure. Specifying products that are built for tough conditions is core belief at SeaTech. Whereas most yachts use residentially sourced equipment, SeaTech only specifies gear from the commercial AV and IT realms. Residential equipment is not rated for long term use, nor is built to withstand the environmental conditions in the marine world. Equipment must be rated for constant motion, thermal tolerances, and humid and even wet conditions. Space is also a major consideration as room on a yacht is extremely limited and expensive. The commercial equipment SeaTech specifies can help with all these issues. Amplifiers are rated to run 24/7, and our small and powerful, TVs are built for 16 or even 24-hour operation as opposed to the standard three hours of a residential unit. IT and security systems can operate at an enterprise level with the latest technologies in camera systems, access control, and on-board Wi-Fi and network information at ownership and operators’ fingertips. Our systems are built to endure never-ending usage, saltwater, high SPL audio sessions and always maintain functionality. SeaTech is derived from a fully commercial AVIT company where the loss of systems can cost clients thousands of dollars.

Programming, Commissioning, Training.
Our IT and control teams work hand in with ownership or ownership representatives to build custom control and integration systems for their sea palaces.  Every system is custom from the ground up and can be programed to spec to operate as desired and to be intuitive from the start.

Our system can control all audio-visual systems, lighting, shades and curtains, HVAC systems, access control, and much more.  Any system with an open API can be controlled if desired.  This is one reason why bringing SeaTech on-board early is critical so there are no integration issues with non-SeaTech systems.

Our commissioning and training process is multi-step and consists of full documentation of the system from design drawings to as built, wiring schematics and layouts, and testing reports.  A complete check list of all systems is completed and documented before training begins.   Our trainers are well versed in handling clients with “white velvet gloves” and take ownership and crew through the process as much as needed.  Operation manuals along with all other documentation are turned over at the end of the process.

Ongoing Service and Support.
All SeaTech systems are built with remote access.  As long as the ship has internet access, SeaTech can look into our systems 24/7.  This means that if a client is experiencing issues, we can analyze what the issues are and come up with solutions quickly.  Our system all includes the ability to remotely power cycle all critical gear independently eliminating the need for ownership or crew to be reaching into and around equipment try to plug and unplug items, creating down time and poor user experiences.  Additionally, in the rare occurrence that a unit does fail, having remote access to a system allows us to identify the faulty unit and ship worldwide advanced replacements to crew or local technicians for installation.  SeaTech has remote support lines available 24/7.
